    Hi everyone,

I've applied to study at UCL and Kings College London, a big part in making the decision as to where to study when it comes to choosing between London and elsewhere is the accommodation prices, for me anyway.
I'm asking students who currently study in London, or anyone who has any information relevant to my question to help me out..

After the first year of halls, how much more or less expensive is it for accommodation per week/month? And how far away from the uni do you end up living, what is your commute?

    Thanks!

I couldn't afford halls, so I went straight into private accommodation instead. It's cheaper but give yourself time to shop around and haggle over the price. I'm paying £550 per month plus about £20 a month in bills (max) and I live near Canary Wharf, so only a short commute to Guy's Campus.
