    Hi
I'm about to choose my A levels soon and I was thinking on choosing bio, chem and psychology but some people have told me to choose maths rather than psychology. However I'm not really interested in maths but because I want to become a dentist it might be beneficial. On the other hand I think I'll get a better grade in psychology. But I want to study dentistry at kings college london university so if I take psychology will that reduce my chances on going there??

No. Pick whichever subject you like the most. Psychology is a good subject to pick for Dentistry.

You will need 4 AS to have a competitive application. There is no formal requirement for Maths at AS or A2 but most applicants will probably have it, then again if you are going to get a U in Maths don't take it for the sake of taking it. For a competitive course like Dentistry, Chemistry is required so you've got that plus Biology should be helpful as long as you can get a good grade in it. For most Dentistry and Medicine courses in the UK you will need AAA at A2 so at the end of the day you need to pick a subject in which you are sure you can achieve your offer should you get one. Psychology is okay but probably as a fourth AS and then if you get any offers then you can always carry it to A2 and drop your other subject if you think you will struggle in it.

You do not need A-level math for Dentistry. You should probably take AS-level Math, though, and Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology is a really good subject combination.

However because I'm going to do the new A levels where there won't be AS I won't get to do 4 because you can only choose 3 now😕

Probably best not to then, pick a facilitating subject for better chances at Kings
