I received a 76% in Math AS level. Is it possible to move up to grade A in the A levels or should I be re-taking the AS maths exam?

Presuming you're taking domestic A levels (i.e. not CIE) then if you have 76% then you have 228/300 UMS form AS and you need 480/600 for an A at A level, so you need 252/300 at A2. That's clearly statistically possible but the A2 units are harder and so you'd probably be advised to re-sit at least 1 AS unit to increase your AS UMS and so give you more room for upsets at A2.

It's a different system and it doesn't work the same. I don't know the rules for CIE A levels as they are not open to state school pupils in the UK.

I think 76 is in the middle of B for CIE exams (B covers 70-79).

You can check in this document.

I think it's up to date although from 2015.

    Hope that helps.
