    Hi everyone.

Which are the best books to self-study physics?

I wanted to do the a-level exams as a private candidate. But I do not know what are the best books to start study, or the materials you recommend.

I will do AQA model exam. If it helps.

    Thank you.

However: do you know if buy the course in ukopencollege about Physics is worth it?

Well I like Advanced Physics by Tom Duncan, it's rather old now but covered all the exam boards when it was published and IMO is very clear and logical and goes some way to describing many of the classic classroom demos you won't be getting as a self study candidate... you'd have to check the spec you were being examined against in case minor gaps have occurred.

Someone posted a link to a free (probably ripped off) electronic version so it's worth searching TSR for that.
