Hi guys, I was wondering if you can help me in this question: Why does the pH change as trypsin digests proteins? I know it will break down the proteins into amino acids but how does that change the pH and why? Pleas help asap. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hi thank you so much for your reply. But I'm pretty sure amino acids are neutral because they consist of both an acidic group (COOH - carboxyl group) and a basic group (NH2 - amino group), correct me if I'm wrong.

In that case, I'm not sure myself! Good luck!
