Hi , this is my first post.

I wanted to get some advice, I am 29 and have been working in a school as a TA for 3 1/2 years now and the time has come where I want to go futher and study primary education ks1/2 B.ed at Gloucestershire uni.

My problem is is that I only have around 80 points.

Based on this, do you know if I would be accepted into the course ?

    Thanks

Mature student entry is rarely judged on points alone. Every application is looked at individually, so you need to contact the uni's Admissions Office and ask them. Your TA experience will certainly help, but unis generally want to see proof of recent successful study. You may need to do a 1 year Access course before you get a place. But only the uni can tell you.

    Hi there,

Although I cannot comment on your individual application, at the University of Gloucestershire, we welcome applications from mature students and do not necessarily require the same academic qualifications as school leaving applicants.

It looks like you have a lot of relevant work experience which should help your application.

To find out more, please email our enquiries team via [email protected] or call us via 03330 141414.

    Good luck!

Maria at the University of Gloucestershire.
