# Please help me with Transformation graphs watch

im not the best at this but y=f(x-2) means you move the parabola 2 to the right, so the minimum co-ordinate would become (5,-4)

y=f(x+5)+6 i think means you move the parabola 5 to the left and 6 up
3. The above poster is correct. Remember these rules, and you should be fine (although they may be confusing at first)
• f(x-k) = k to the right. (k on the x-axis)
• f(x+k) = k to the left. (-k on the x-axis)
• f(x)+k = k up. (k on the y-axis)
• f(x)-k = k down. (-k on the y-axis)
4. These may also help...

kf(x) = Stretch parallel to y axis, scale factor k.
f(kx) = Stretch parallel to x axis, scale factor 1/k.
-f(x) = Reflection in the x axis.
f(-x) = Reflection in the y axis.
