I'm never sure on how to draw the apparatus, I've got the markscheme but all it says that the condensor has to be vertical and sealed is it right I'm not really sure. They should really include a drawing of the right apparatuc in the markscheme will make things more easier. Thank you

The tube through the condenser should be open at the top, but even still that'd do, I'd bet.

For planning paper 5, it is quite open ended. where it is somethibg new, they expect candidates to plan based on all info included. that is why the mark schemes never really give a smaple diagram...because alternatives can and should be rewarded as long as they are sensible chemistry
