For glasses I would just nick them from pubs every time you go out for a drink. At least, thats what I do and I have a healthy (and still growing) collection!

There is a special circle of hell reserved for people who steal glasses from pubs, in my bar-wenchy opinion. Go to IKEA and get them instead thank you! :stomp:

The city council's fire officer is on a rampage across the colleges to get them all taken out of the old sites. It's partly about minimum kitchen sizes, and partly about the requirements of gyp rooms (apparently if hall is on the same site as the accommodation, you're not entitled to hobs).

I'm wasn't on the same site as hall and I didn't have hobs last year! Was I entitled?! Admittedly I was a 30m walk away, but I did have to cross a road :frown:

Serious question though... is there supposed to be some entitlement to hobs?

To be honest, I'm really not sure. There's quite an extensive wave of legislation, and the fire officer seems to have a lot of discretion. I don't think anyone has an entitlement to hobs - the law in this area seems to work more in terms of what you can't have, rather than what you can or should have.

I do say this is a DELIGHTFUL FEELING to be here at Cambridge, It seems like we will have A SMASHING TIME, cheerio till uni starts then.
