I'm currently applying to uni's to start next year and I'm in two minds about whether to stay at home or move out? I was thinking about staying at home for my first year (to save up some money) and then moving out in my second year. I'll still be applying for my maintenance loan so I can save that up too. Am I making the right decision?

It's the right decision. You'd rather save the money that you would spend on a whole year.
