    Hello,
    1) Could someone please explain to me which angles there are in Al2Cl6 and AlCl3?
    I had this question to answer(question 6)

    2) How can we tell that NO2+ is not acting as a base in this reaction (question 34)?

    H2NO3+ <--> H2O + NO2+
    Thank you

    Aluminium trichloride is trigonal planar electron deficient.

    The dimer has two aluminium atoms which are tetrahedrally bonded to four chlorine atoms.

    Good luck with 9701 P1 tomorrow. my students are sitting for these too in zone5.

    For your second question, i wont consider it as a typical acid base reaction going from right to left by looking at this reaction from left to right.
