I am currently in my first year of Adult Nursing at a University quite far from home. I love the course but I really don't like being away from home and living by myself. The reason I am in this far university is because my application was messed up by my teachers meaning my hometown universities gave me rejections and I got into this university through clearing. I was wondering if it is possible to apply for my second year in a different university and would I still have to go to an interview and do entry exams even if I achieved a high grade in my first year. I've emailed the unis that I would want to go to but just wondering if anyone on here has done that before. Thanks

You would need to contact the universities to see if they would be able to facilitate this. It depends on a lot of factors such as the theory content, placement hours, theory hours, assignments etc. and also whether the university has spaces available.

Only they can advise you of what you would need to do next, as they will all have their own procedures, but you would likely need a transcript of your completed modules from your current university, and references from your current personal tutor. They will let you know exactly what they will require. Transferring universities for any course is complicated, and moreso for nursing due to the complex NMC requirements which must be met. The new university needs to be confident that you are still going to meet the requirements for registration.
