Can anyone link me some of the hardest quadratic questions they have seen or they believe are difficult.
    Any will be appreciated, thanks.

I don't know of any exact quadratic questions, but I've been looking through a lot of past papers and if one of the last questions on the paper is a quadratic one then it'll be quite hard.

I tried to think of something difficult but I just couldn't as far as quadratic equations go on their own. For any quadratic equation the answer can just be obtained by plugging a, b and c into the formula and that's job done.
Is this for GCSE or A level?

They're supposed to be hard questions.

Find the coordinates of the vertex of the curve y=ax^2+bx+c .
By using the coordinates you find of the vertex of the curve, show that the curve crosses the x axis if and only if b^2\geq 4ac , and state the geometric configuration of the curve and the x axis if b^2=4ac .
Explain why the curve does not cross the x axis if b^2-4ac<0 .
[HINT: Consider two cases: a>0 and a<0 ].
