due to my AS reuslts, i know i wont be predicted A's for my A2

even though im planning to work really hard and pull my grade sup during a2

so im thinking to not apply to uni this spetember
and apply after ive got my a2 results-is this possible?
so il apply in september 2008,for 2009 entry
and il explain in my personal statemnt what i plan to do in my gap year (work epxerience, volunteer work)

the a* is being introduced sept 2008 i think...so it wont affect me? as the AS-ers who are startign alevels where the a* is being introduced will not have thier ful alevel grades so cnt apply to uni

is it possible to apply to uni once you get ur A2 grades..or do u haev to apply after your as results?

You can apply to university at whatever stage, pre or post A-Levels and the A* hasn't yet been confirmed and isn't coming into effect at least until 2010, so it definitely won't affect you. You could apply for deferred entry and not declare your results or not declare your results and give it a shot this year anyway?

I think try and get into uni this year, and if you still want a gap year do that - defer entry - the problem is if you do really badly at A2 (bearing in mind its harder) then you will have bigger problems and stresses with resits and things, and UCAS on top of it all.

^ Yeah as others have advised, try to apply anyway this year and see what happens. If not, take that gap year and apply again next year. Good luck whatever happens!
