reasons for eye sight getting much worse quickly?

Yo. Basically I wear glasses because I can't see too well long distances and they have prisms in so I can see straight horizontally as well. But recently my sight seems to have gotten so much worse, particularly in my left eye. Like whereas before I could sort of see things, now if I close the right I can see about 50cm with left (it was much further than this before).

I've been having a few problems and crying a lot recently, I just started working in a really hot kitchen too and spending time on my computer, but no more on computer than I used to.

Can anyone think of any possible reason for this? thanks.

hmm could have something to do with spending alot of time on computers, could strain your eye I guess... probably better to just make an appointment with an optician though..
