does anybody know anything about this course? How does it compare to PPE if specialised in economics and politics? How much is the emphasis on Eastern Europe and what does it include? Do you obtain the same qualifications as in PPE (career wise etc.) or are severely limited due to the Slavonics focus? Is the degree (especially the econ part) watered down because it's a BA or is it a hons thing like PPE at Oxford?
And finally, would it be wise to apply for both PPE and HPE at one time?
Yes, I already have researched the prospectus a little - what I'm more interested in is not general information, but rather a comparison between PPE BSc and HPE BA.
Maybe someone can answer a few of these questions.. Thanks in advance

Yes, HPE has a strong emphasis on Eastern Europe. If you are not interested in that region then you shouldn't apply for HPE. You can see the course structure here: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/ssees/prospecti...s-economics-ba
I think a PPE and HPE graduate can expect to have fairly similar career prospects. I don't think the economics is watered down, but I'm not an expert. This degree is new so there is not much information about careers, but it might be a good idea to do a LinkedIn search for UCL graduates of the BA in Economics and Business with East European Studies - they will have studied very similar/the same economics modules as HPE students, so you can get a reasonable idea of what kind of things you can do with the degree.
