Just wondering if I have to take the full maintenance loan each year? I am eligible for it but I've been building up savings and if I take a smaller loan I'll have lower debt. Can't really find a straight answer anywhere.

I plan to take the full tuition fee loan I would just like the option to take a smaller maintenance loan.

You can take as much as you want. There should be a tick box with maximum and another box where you can say how much you want to take.

    Hi

You can choose to receive any amount of the Maintenance Loan up to the maximum. You do not have to take the full amount due, however if you choose to take out less and then decide you require more, you have up until 9 months after the start date of your academic year to request this.

    Thanks
