After looking around for a while it's quite unclear where to find any official
'Top' unis for sound technology as expected since it can be considered a 'niche' course. Anyone have any opinions or evidence of the best choices for this course? Any advice would be really helpful.

Hi

I've moved this into our Performing arts and music forum.

The one "top" course that is extremely difficult to get entry onto (and much sought after by employers) is the Surrey Tonmeister course: http://www.surrey.ac.uk/undergraduat...ing-tonmeister

Hi - and Happy New Year to you all! Thanks for mentioning us allofthestars. If you'd like to read about some of our current students' experiences at Huddersfield a couple of our student bloggers this year are music students.

Maddie is a Music BMus(Hons) student:
http://blogs.hud.ac.uk/students/myuni/maddie-mapletoft

and Callum is a Music Technology and Audio Systems BSc(Hons) student:
http://blogs.hud.ac.uk/students/myuni/callum-eaton

A student perspective can give you a useful insight into what it's like to study at a particular university, so we hope this helps
