what are the pros and cons to studying fashion at uni?

To be serious, I would not consider such a degree where you can easily nurture the same talent outside of uni (at a vocational college of some sort).
Secondly, it's not at easy to get into a job the linear way with fashion as it would be with a traditional degree (like accounting).
There aren't many vacancies for fashion graduates which will present you with more problems (Graduate survey 2015).
To conclude i would not dedicate 3 years of my life and £27k on something that a person with a bit of talent could do without going to uni. (i don't do fashion but I have a family member who does)

Get a job involving the fashion industry and use your free time to work on your design skills. I don't think any company cares whether you have a degree in fashion or not, your portfolio matters far more.
