# Simplify surds watch

1. (Root7+1)^2/(root7+2) but I simplified it to 8+2root7/root7+2 but then divided it as 8/4=2, 8/root7, 2root7/2=root7 and 2root7/root7=2 but this is completely wrong help please

That's not quite how it works...

You got which is correct, and at this point you need to multiply the top and bottom by the conjugate of the denominator which is
