Since they're reforming the a-levels I've heard that GCSEs are looked at more when applying to Uni (especially Oxbridge) - is this true and if so what is a competitive set of GCSE results for Oxbridge?

    Many thanks

It is likely that they are going to be held in greater regard, but that's because they don't really have much other evidence of you academic skills. GCSEs have always been important for Oxford, though, so nothing new there.
Just try to do as well as you can do.

They don't really only judge on GCSE's and A-Levels. They look at your whole application and your PS matters along with your interview and entry tests.
