Advanced Higher English Dissertation - NEED HELP! watch

    • Thread Starter

I have just started writing my adv Higher English dissertation on The Virgin Suicides and Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides (definite & approved by my teacher). I've written a rough introduction but am completely stuck on how to start/ order & structure the dissertation, The themes I'm exploring in the books are sexuality and mortality, and the literary techniques are narrative technique, setting, symbolism and characterisation. Really need some help on what to start with and how to link / compare the books whilst also studying them individually. Any help would be much appreciated!

I am also stuck with this... no idea how to structure the dissertation. I assume it's similar to Higher critical essays, but there's an extra 10 marks here that need to go somewhere.
