How to find delayed and cancelled trains in the past?

I was wondering whether it is possible to obtain a list of all of the trains that were cancelled or delayed between two stations on any particular day? (For any UK rail connection)

(For a statistics project)

Thank you!

Do you need specific train delays? There's stats for delays per company on the national rail website here http://www.networkrail.co.uk/about/performance/ but more specific data seems a bit hard to come by.

Ideally, I need specific data, yes.

Thank you for your reply!

If you have time, you could do a Freedom of Information request to the train operator. You'll need about a month for them to reply, though.

Real Time Trains will do what you want but will be very labour intensive. You'll need to search for each train individually, but they will then show whether it was late or not.
