Medicine with AABB (B's in Biology and Chemistry) ?

Hello,
I've completed my A levels but have had a change of heart and now wish to apply for medicine instead of biology which I had done so this year. Are there any universities that accept grades of AABB, with the B's in both biology or chemistry or would it be better for me to resit both biology and chemistry next year and then reapply?

Thanks

ur better off doing the research and calling urself rather then taking our word for it, but i think u might be a little hard pressed to get in with AABB on clearing, ring up some unis and talk about ur options?

You're going to be restricted in terms of which uni's you can apply for, because although you do meet the AAB requirement, including Bio and Chem you only have ABB. There are uni's that don't ask for both at A2, e.g. Cardiff. The new medical schools are also more likely to take you with those results than older schools.

I got my offer confirmed by St Georges on thursday after getting AABB with Bs in chem and bio!!

Probably best to retake some of the modules for ur A in bio and chem

Alot of med schools specify for A in these subjects, my offer was A in chemistry

So to maximise ur chance try that and re -apply

Good luck!

It is possible i know many people who got AABB at As and have got into medicine.

got AABB at As

But I think what he's saying, maze.e, is that those are A2 grades, not AS.

Thanks to all who replied and yep, as Becca-Sarah stated those are my A2 grades. I think I'll resit both biology and chemistry and reapply for 08 entry.
