I'm really struggling with Immunology on my medicine course, which anyone know any good books or sites? I've tried youtube videos, The Lauren Sompayrac immunology books, Immunology for Med students and none of it helps. It doesn't help that some of the lectures on innate immunity are terribly explained.

Questions I need answers too desperately:

    1. Why do mast cells degrade following being activated by complement proteins ? And why does the degradation of mast cells lead to increased blood flow and leaky blood vessels, like how does this come about?
    2. In terms of viral infection, I understand in order to avoid being killed by the adaptive system, they remove their MHC class 1 molecules but how exactly does the innate immune system natural killer cells kill them?
    3. What's the guts relevance to the immune system?
