for the past month or so every time my boyfriend (of over a year) and i try to have sex it is an excruciating stinging/burning pain so i have to tell him to stop. we stopped having sex for over a week to see if the pain would go away (the pain is not constant, only when we begin to have sex) and it was ok for a few minutes, then suddenly it began getting extremely painful again. the pain lasts for about 10 minutes after he has stopped, then it disappears completely.

Any advice on what this can be? I do not have any pain at all normally, only when we try to have sex. It's not itchy or anything.

I have pain during and after sex sometimes. I've had investigations and ultra sound scans but they all came back normal. I do have a tilted uterus, which is quite common, and apparently that causes pain for some.
Maybe ask to be referred to a gynaecologist just to rule out things.

Either you not turned on enough which means your... ain't opening up enough. Or simply that your boyfriend is a bit big for you and you are not used to the pain properly yet.
