I want to go into the packaging/ branding industry, but i'm really stuck on what course would be best and where to study, I've spoken to tutors but feel student advice would be good too?
I'm currently doing a foundation diploma, I've looked at graphic design, creative advertising and creative media design but not sure what the difference is between them? ANY HELP IS USEFUL PLEASE!!

Graphic design at a university where you can specialise in packaging/branding would be the most normal route. Creative advertising would be more focused on advertising rather than designing - so is likely to be more theory/business focused. Creative media design is more focused on design for mobile/apps/web technology rather than physical objects.

I'd suggest GD would probably be your best option - but contact universities to ask about options to specialise in packaging. And look into what printmaking and workshop facilities are available to you - 3d printing prototype packaging, good printing facilities and workshops to experiment with different three dimensional creations are going to be key to building a strong portfolio to demonstrate your abilities.
