Welcome to the 24th TSR General Election!

Voting in the TSR general election is now open! You have a choice of five parties and two independents for whom you may vote, or you may spoil your ballot. All candidates' manifestos are displayed below in a randomised order.

Any TSR user with at least 100 posts on TSR and whose account is at least 3 months old is allowed to vote. If you think you should be able to vote but are somehow unable to do so using the poll, please send a postal vote by PM to both me and my deputy, toronto353.

TSR uses a system of proportional representation: seats will be allocated via the D'Hondt method in proportion with the number of votes cast for each party and independent candidate. Obviously independent candidates are only able to win a single seat.

You have 7 days in which to cast your vote, good luck!

    Saracen's Fez
    Model House of Commons Speaker

    Jammy Duel, Independent candidate

    TSR Conservative and Unionist Party

    TSR Labour Party

    TheBigMan2, Independent candidate

    TSR Liberal Party

    TSR Socialist Party

    TSR United Kingdom Independence Party

DON'T WASTE YOUR VOTE on a Liberal Party who will prop up Tory governments, cut taxes for the rich, and break their promises.

DON'T WASTE YOUR VOTE on a dying and confused Green Party willing to prostitute its values for votes and who haven't even submitted a manifesto.

And DON'T WASTE YOUR VOTE on a Labour, a "thoroughly bourgeois party, because although it consists of workers it is led by reactionaries, and the worst spirit reactionaries at that, who act fully in the spirit of the bourgeoisie. It is an organisation of the bourgeoisie which exists to systematically deceive the workers."

PS that last policy from the Socialists though:

Here are the other five parties summed up in images:

Of course, the last party is irrelevant in this election. They didn't want to waste any electricity by submitting a manifesto.

TSR Labour, far more united than our real-life counterparts, offers effective leadership in these troubled times.

The world is going insane. A particularly divisive, sinister form of nationalism is on the rise once more across the developed world. The torch of liberalism has been dropped and the establishment clings onto the neoliberalism and austerity that is threatening democracy itself. Britain is torn between a past that some wish to reclaim and the brighter more prosperous future that it must grasp.

But it is darkest just before the dawn. There is hope, there is a better way. And together we can defeat the hatred and the cruelty that plague our society.

I had to question this myself when putting this together but I don't appear to have received a manifesto.

Their loss I suppose. I'm not going to ask you when you're going to shut them down, I'm sure there'll be enough people to do it for me...

It is undeniably true though. The leadership team's vision is clear and each have mandate's larger than Corbyn's, our manifesto is universally supported and disagreement is handled by consensual discussion.
