    Hi,
I'm currently starting on my AQA alevel coursework piece which explores how a selected poem tells the narrative. Originally, I planned to use Browning's 'My Last Duchess' however I am aiming for an A* and this has been on the alevel syllabus before (although I've never studied it), will examiners think I am not stretching myself far enough and therefore risk not getting top marks? Should I switch to another poem such as Plath's 'Daddy'? I need to decide ASAP please help

I don't know much about your exam board specifically but I did English A level and got an A*. I don't think they'll care much about what you chose and why - there are assessment objectives and you just have to hit those, and none of them will refer to your choices I'm pretty sure.

I don't think examiners think about you stretching yourself - just hitting AOs.
