After looking at a few courses, i think i'm settled on CS. My college is also offering me the option to do an EPQ, which is like an extended piece of writing (either a 5000 word essay or a project with 1500 words).

It is recommend to choose an EPQ topic related to the course you wish to take at university but i am very inexperienced at programming so doubt i could make a project.

An ideas for possible topics with plenty to write about would be much appreciated.

Could you follow a sort of beginners guide to programming to make some sort of simple project? I think that would be extremely beneficial to you at university since it would teach you some programming stuff and it would give you stuff to talk about on your personal statement/at interviews.

The person marking your project won't be experienced at programming either (I had an English teacher mark my Maths EPQ), so don't worry about that.
