Has anyone been prescribed anything they recommend- in particular for social anxiety or just in general, have a doctor appointment tomorrow

That's really for you and your doctor to decide. What you'll be offered will depend on your symptoms, how they affect you, and you medical history - that kind of thing

As above.

You might be prescribed something like citalopram - which you'd need to take everyday, and it can help you feel less anxious in general.

Or you might get something like diazepam - you'd take this on as "as required" basis when you're faced with something particularly anxiety provoking. The problem here is diazepam is pretty addictive so you'd be unlikely to get prescribed very much. It's more of a short-term intervention.
