Hi, I was wondering if I have to mention programming in a personal statement to be considered. I have already talked about Artificial Intelligence and Human-Computer Interaction and am just under the character limit. Will my application be at an disadvantage with no mention of this.

If you're into your coding and knowledge of application technologies you can pretty much turn your personal statement into a cover letter and start applying for jobs. Unless you really are interested in the deep knowledge that doesn't really do much at work

There isn't a specific list of things to be mentioned. Talk about things within the subject that interest you and why and what you've done to develop your interests.
