    You should start looking at the universities and course(s) you'd like to apply to now. The sooner - the better, it's always useful to have an idea what you want to do or where you want to go. Sixth forms and colleges often ask for university applicants to have their UCAS applications ready for submittance by the end of November in year 13 (at the latest) or at the start of September in year 13 (if you're applying to Oxbridge or Medicine).
    I started doing detailed university research at the start of year 12 so that I had a certain idea by summer and planned which university open days I wanted to attend.
