Is it harder to receive an offer for G400 (computer science) compared to a combined course (e.g computer science with mathematics or management) ?
Since just computer science is the most popular I assume many people are applying for it and not many applicants receive offers. Is this correct?

I'm not sure. What uni's are you applying too?

It depends on the uni and how the course works.

For example, my uni has two types of 'with'. One type of 'with' is put together with the general computer science course. Like computer science with high end computing. So if G400 has about 180 spaces in total. The computer science with whatever has the very same 180 spaces. So you have same chances.

The other type of 'with' has a small amount of spaces. So like computer science with mathematics. It usually has about 60 spaces. So obviously less chance to get in as there are less spaces in general.

Good thing about applying for the G400 is that usually, you can easily change your course to one of the 'with' ones during your first few weeks or even in second/third year
