If I pick my firm, eg Bath - AAA, and insurance, eg Warwick - ABB :

Results day: I get the grades for Bath but change my mind and want to go to Warwick. Can I do that or do I have to stick to my firm 100%?

Yes and no. You would have to be released by UCAS into clearing but before you do that you would have to phone your insurance choice to ask if they would admit you through clearing once you've been released. If they say no then you're stuck with your firm choice. It could get quite messy.

Is there any reason why you would change your mind. Do your homework on both unis, visiting them, more than once if possible and if there's not much between them course wise get a picture in your head of which one you think you would be happiest at taking into account the facilities, the accommodation, the location and the social life.
