http://www.easybedpacks.com this site was set up by a student for students, they do student bed packs and deliver to you door saving you the hassle of going out and buying it all.

Littlewoods Direct are good for duvet sets. I got one for £13 but it was buy one get one free and it includes pillowcases as well. Probably going to get the duvet and pillows from ASDA as Littlewoods wern't that cheap for them.

I don't know about the best place, but I would suggest that you give IKEA a miss as their bedding is all abnormally huge, and university beds are abnormally small.

I got mine from work (Bhs), was heavily discounted and I have a 20% staff discount, so it worked out hella cheap.

Does the uni not offer a bedding pack that you can buy? My university are selling complete bedding packs for £30. No postage needed, it'll be there waiting for you when you arrive.

I do that too! I find that a single duvet is often a bit too small to cover me properly, considering some of the odd positions that I sleep in...

Gloucestershire...

Its a small world

Is it worth taking my double duvet over then?

I was just thinking practablility..

Well, look at it this way. It'll keep you warm and cover you completely.

And if you care to share your bed with another (granted it'll be cramped), at least you'll each have a reasonable amount of duvet!

:ditto:

Those are the reasons why I use a double duvet. I like to be completely covered, and if you happen to be sharing your bed then you won't be arguing over the duvet quite so much

John Lewis have some nice stuff but it's a little expensive.

Primark do cheap bedding, and some of the designs aren't too bad...
I got my duvet cover and pillowcase for home from Asda, £8 for both.
Wilkinsons. Some of my favourites are from there and they are so cheap.

What Laura said. Wilkinsons are surprisingly good for bedding, I'm going back there in the reasonably likely event that I'm upgrading to a double bed next year and need a new set of stuff or three.

depends. if you want cheap, dunelm if you've got one is great for that kind of stuff, and towels etc. Otherwise a supermarket etc.

personally, it's one of the things i'd pay a little bit more for, because a good duvet is such a treat.

I bought a double set (quilt cover/sheet/2pillow cases) from M&S the other day for £20 which wasn't too bad.
Then a few days later they were selling sheets and pillow cases for a quid each! doh!
Might be worth checking out though, you never know!

Oh yeah, on a similar note, M&S had sets of towels in various colours for £7
2 big, 2 small and 2 facecloths
