Mate just called me earlier....he's quite upset with his awful grade...EEUX. The X was because he dropped the subject but the school still entered him for it!

Now, the school have 'invited' him with a meeting with his parents and rumour has it that him and others will not be invited to continue in year13 with those grades regardless if he retakes or not. Worse thing is that he was never warned about this, he works reasonable well throughout the year, certainly someone worthy of CCC but hes ****ed it big time.

Any advice should he look into alternative colleges? He said he's gonna try and persude him to allow to repeat yr12 but obviously subject to yr11 gcse's.

    Any advice is most welcomed.

Best thing he can do is start year 12 fresh at a new college..

:ditto: No point trying to resit those during the second year. A fresh start would be a good idea.

Well there is really no point in trying to fix those with resits. He should start from scratch, ideally at a different institution. I find it pretty worrying that he could have performed that badly without anybody picking up on it before the exams.
