I'm really stuck on this question! If anybody could help it would be great!
An experiment was carried out to investigate the activity of a protease on gelatine. Exposed photopraphic film carries black silver salts which are bonded to it by gelatine. The photographic film is therefore cleared.
The experiment was repeated at the optimum pH for the protease, with the addition of a lead salt. The film did not clear. Suggest 3 reasons why.

I'm not sure about 3 reasons, but one reason could be the addition of lead salt ions changed the charges of the substrate which means that the enzyme could not longer bind with the substrate.
