Hi there
I'm 19 and I suffer from anxiety and I am doing an Open degree at the OU. My modules are mostly modules which have an EMA at the end as I get panic attacks if I have to do exams. If I was to choose a module with an exam, is there a way the university could help.
Has anyone gone through something similar (where they have had to sit the exam differently or do another type of exam)
I appreciate your help.

Perhaps you'll do better asking the student services at your uni or the module coordinator for help on this. I doubt that you'll get much help here, but it's good that you're looking for solutions.

They can arrange for you to do the exam in the normal venue but have rest breaks to take as you choose. This means the clock stops and you get to go into a side room for a break (and can't write anything during that break).
You can have a different exam room, with fewer students there.
But if the module has an exam then you need to take the exam. They can help you find alternative ways of taking it, but you need to find something that works for you. You'll also need to contact them asap to arrange it as they'll need time to put everything in place. And obviously you'll need some medical proof.
