Fractions watch

1. I have worked out 4 2/3 / 1 2/5 to be 70/21 then in mixed number its 3 7/21 ????
2. 4 2/3 = 14/3
1 2/5 = 7/5

14/3 div by 7/5 is
14/3 X 5/7
= 70/21
divide top and bottom by 7
=10/3
=3 1/3

I did this really quickly so I hope I haven't made any silly errors.
3. Basically your answer is right but you have to write 3 7/21 in its simplest form.

If you divide the numerator and denominator by 7, you get 1/3.

Hence 3 1/3.
