Why do divers wear speedos?

when swimmers wear jammers/trunks? Like in the Olympics Tom Daley always wears those tiny speedos, like why?

It's because they allow you to be more flexible since they don't constrict the ability to move your legs as much as jammers do and they are more streamlined than board shorts.

They help you to be flexible. I was in the diving soc at uni and that's what we were taught by the instructor.

They allow you to be more flexible with your legs, like the user before me said. Diving is usually considered a speedo sport

Like others said, provides more flexibility. Also keeps things better in place. That's also the reason why female divers wear one piece suits instead of two piece ones.

I would also assume something to do with airflow. Same reason cyclists wear skin tight costumes. But I'm not a professional.

This is true in a way. Swimmers, and to a lesser extent divers, have to minimise body hair in order to be more streamlined.
