I'm a type 1 diabetic and I need a mini fridge to store my insulin when I'm at uni. I've seen that many diabetics request and receive one.
Can I request for one on my UCAS application in the 'disability/special needs' part? Or do I have to contact somewhere else?
    Thanks

Have you already applied for Disabled Students' Allowances?

If you're starting in September 17, it's likely the application forms won't be available yet.

A fridge would be something a study needs assessor (who you'd see after your funding body make you eligible) would discuss with you and then possibly recommend for funding from your DSAs.

I do belive the UCAS stuff is more for stats and more aimed at people like me who require correspondence in alternative formats.

It, as mentioned above, is DSA thing. Whilst they don't generally supply items you'd need as someone who is disabled that isn't study related, for things like storing insulin in student accommodation, they'd supply that. (whereas they wouldn't give a disabled student the cost of their medication)
