Hey!

I'm looking to apply to 4 of choices in 2 cities, I have in mind De Montfort and Leicester and Royal Holloway and Brunel in London, is this a bad choice to apply for universities in the same city?

no if you think you will be happy in these cities and at all the unis go for it!

I applied to 2 in london. One piece of advice my mum said to me - if you had the two unis in one city as your firm and insurance, make sure you wouldn't feel bad not being at the other one but being in the same city!!

would it always be 'the other one' in the given city and you regret it
just something to think about!

best of luck with your application

Why would it be a bad choice? Many people apply to unis in the same city - especially if they want a London university...

Leaving aside greater London for a moment, with the exception of Birmingham and 'Manchester' ( as Salford is a city in it's own right alhough many people lump both Salford and Manchester into a wider 'Manchester' ), the 2nd and 3rd Unis in most places are either Ex polys or grew from teaching traioning colleges that managed to survive earler rounds of TTCs being swallowed by Unis / polys
