:bunny::bunny: WELCOME TO SCITTY'S GYG 2017 :bunny: :bunny:

Hi guys! I'm Scitty, aka Scott. These past few years have been a nightmare personally and academically, and this is my last chance to get this right! I'm currently resitting 4 A2 papers after messing up royally last year. I have some extenuating circumstances, but the bottom line is that when I sat the exams, I crossed out the correct answers, and I dropped a lot of marks.

I figured I'd give GYG a go as I'm now home-studying, courtesy of my college closing, so as an external candidate going off their own back I thought this would give me a good place to record my schedules, mark my progress, and get motivation in lieu of having a structured class timetable to focus around.

Last year I managed to get a place for Veterinary Medicine at Bristol Uni, but missed the grades. I got into studying a MSc in Genetics at Glasgow, but pulled out last minute when I managed to convince my college to let me resit some modules at their centre. This year I'm applying to Bristol, RVC, and Liverpool for VetMed, as well as Slovakia's UVM Kosice, and already have an offer for bioveterinary science at Liv. Hopefully, my road to vet school will be successful this year!

At the moment, I'm working with the current academic background:

    GCSEs
    Biology – A*
    Chemistry – A
    Physics – A
    Maths – A
    Statistics – A
    History – A*
    Geography – A
    French – A*
    English Literature – A*
    English Language – A*
    English Media – A*
    Religious Studies – A*

    AS Levels
    Biology – A
    Physics – A
    Chemistry – B

Current A Levels and my aims
    Biology – B A
    Chemistry – C A
    Physics – C B

If I can, I would like to get an A* in Biology. I was 2 UMS off an A and a B in Bio and Phys respectively (with an A* in Unit 5 of Bio), but I'm only resitting 1 module in each, so how much I'm able to improve will be anyone's guess, but I'm going to try my hardest!

At the moment I have all of my resources downloaded to the computer. Last year I studied with past papers, flash cards, and mindmaps. I'm going to try studying at the library rather than at home, and trying more rapidfire quick-recall techniques to see if I can gain confidence in exams and better improve my performance under stress!

    Let's do this!
