I have a few questions regarding St Andrews Admissions, due to medical reasons I was forced to take a year out and finish my studies as I was not able to complete A2, I was wondering whether this would create a bias against me or I would be disadvantaged in terms of applying to St Andrews
Furthermore, the entry requirements for the course I want to study (Ancient History) is AAB, this past year I achieved an A* in English and a B in Spanish (which I am retaking in the hopes of achieving an A) This would mean i'd need to achieve a B this year in History to make up the entry requirements (AAB). Firstly, I was wondering whether it would be possible to get the B in History or if again it would disadvantage me in comparison to other applicants and secondly, if I were to slip a grade in History and achieve a C, would I still be considered for the place with an overall grade of A*AC for the AAB course?
I would really appreciate it if someone could clarify these for me,
Thanks!
