How do you write a how successful essay because I used to just write a intro, couple paragraphs on success, couple paragraphs on why the person wasn't successful and a judgement. However my teacher told me to not do that and say HOW successful they were? He wants us not to fall into the successful and not successful trap. I'm confused help?

I think your teacher means you shouldn't say that they were successful or not successful, say they were more successful than unsuccessful or the other way around and explain why. You should also say whether they were very, quite, not very or not at all successful / unsuccessful which is how successful they were. Your conclusion should summarise your arguments briefly before you make a one sentence conclusion about what your opinion is.

Feel free to message if it doesn't make sense and I'll give you an example.
