I am studying Business Information Systems (BIS) which is made up of 50% computing and 50% business. I have been told if i choose more business modules compared to computing modules my degree will become the standard business management degree and worthless. Is this true? I do enjoy the business side more because programming is not my kind of thing.

I want to work as a business/systems analyst in the future.

Not necessarily. Who told you this? A lot of employers hire people with experience, so you if you have the necessary experience in the relevant fields then you should be fine. I did Computer Science but my final year consisted of more business modules than programming modules and it didn't affect my job prospects at all, if anything it opened the doors to more job opportunities as I had experience in both business and programming.

The problem is i want to drop the programming next year because i am not good it so i would do 40% CS and 60% Business which would make it more of a business degree, then i would swap in the third year and do more CS modules, but my teaching assistant told me my degree will look bad if i avoid the programming. What do you think i should do?
