Grew my fringe out years ago and it took forever, its now an inch below my chin length. Lately though there are short fashionable fringes everywhere, and I feel so boring with my long, practical fringe, so I thought i should take the plunge and once again have a short fringe- but... when its short it curls terrible. Advice please

NOOOO!!!Dont do it, i think you'd really really regret it. semms you're just bored so you should change something else but not your fringe cus i get the impression you didn't really like it that much!!!

fringe is cool ^o) i wish i can start a fringe society.
it really depends on how you look. if you look nice with your hair parted, then be it. if it gives a 'darling' touch if you cut a fringe, well why not? it also depend on what clothes you wear, if you want to look really chic then i suppose you would have to wear stuff that gives the impression that you're 'pretty-like, girly etc' - if you want to go by fashion that is. tip: fringes look fab with black eyeliner have you got a pic btw?

I think fringes can look wonderful and also horrendous depending upon who is actually sporting it. I'm a firm believer that certain face shapes and features suit them a lot more than others, so I would suggest that perhaps you discuss this with your hairdresser before opting for the chop.
Like you said in your original post fringes can take a while to grow out particularly if you choose to have a blunt, short one so keep this in mind and be sure to give it some consideration. I know that I sometimes feel like doing drastic things to my appearance when I'm slightly bored and want to mix things up a bit, but often I force myself to wait at least a few days before I take the plunge and this time will often mean that I eventually change my mind and realise that I actually suit my current style more than I initially thought.
So yea to conclude, think it over and if you still want to do it then go for it . I guess even if it looks horrific you can pin it back/to the side until it grows out.
