What is the empirical formula of hydrated calcium chloride : 14.7g of salt os 4g calcium, 7.1g chlorine and 3.6 water.
    Is it CaCl2 ?

Also what about this question? A hydrated sample of iron ii sulphate has the formula FeSO4.xH2O where x is the number of molecules of water of crystallisation. What is x given thaf 3.8g of anhydrous salt remains when 6.95 g of hydrated salt is heatedto constant mass.

    Is x:7?
