So a little background info: I dropped out of secondary school at 15 with just 4 GCSE's (I was extremely sick). I had English lit B, English Lang C, ICT B and Core Science B. Last year (at 19) I started college and took GCSE maths (achieved C) and GCSE Chinese (ongoing).

Here's what I'm taking and predicted for this year:
    • AS Psychology, predicted D
    • BTEC Level 3 Applied Science, predicted M
    • GCSE Additional Science, predicted B
    • GCSE Chinese, predicted A
    • GCSE Maths, predicted B

I have no idea why my psychology predicted grade is so low? But I'm not overly worried as I feel like I'm doing well.
I already study in all my frees and stay at college until the last bus to get more done, but I plan to start doing practice questions at home every night.

    What I did yesterday:
    • 2nd observed titration practical for BTEC assignment 01-01
    • Maths progress test, estimated score of 71%
    • Made notes on Milgram for next week

Thursday is the busiest day on my timetable so I gave myself a bit of a rest when I got home. I do still have a chronic illness to manage (something I often forget, oops). I'm frustrated with our maths test. It was supposed to test our progress over this term, but it contained topics we'd never looked at in class. Also, the college knows they're pretty much the only centre who does AQA for maths in our area, which covers a lot of things our school's Edexcel exams don't so we've never seen these topics. It was so overwhelming that one girl had a mental breakdown, cried and had to go home halfway through.

    Today's To-Do List
    • Finish pass criteria for 01-01: Questions on periodic table
    • Print of fresh 01-01 task book b/c someone got acid on mine
    • Start merit criteria for 01-01
    • Finish Chinese essay on Holidays: 20 characters to go
    • Finish notes on L+P and Grant's studies

    Thank you!!
Good luck with year 12 - it's quite a step up from GCSE but if you keep up with your work you'll do fine, and from the looks of it you already are. Try not to work yourself too hard though, you don't want to get burnt out.

Also predicted grades for AS don't mean ****, mine were BBBC or something like that (it was based off your postcode & area more than your previous attainment...) and I ended up achieving 4 grades higher than that.
